How can I end up in a drying-out centre?
Intoxicated persons may be escorted to a drying-out centre or a police unit, a healthcare unit or another institution designated by the local government. They can also be escorted to their place of residence/stay. Those who may be detained are persons with a blood alcohol content of over 0.5, who behave in an offensive manner in a public place/workplace, whose life or health is at risk, or who pose a threat to the life or health of others.
Sobriety detention in a police unit does not last longer than 24 hours.
