When can the police conduct a body and luggage search?

Such control can be performed in case of existence of a reasonable suspicion of a punishable act. Personal control should be carried out by a police officer of the same sex as the controlled person, in a discrete place inaccessible for unauthorised persons. The controlled individual may indicate a person to participate in the control. The police officer is obliged to accept this person to participate in the search (unless their presence would make it difficult or impossible) The police officer may ask a third person to participate in the search if it is deemed necessary. A police officer can also search luggage, but only in the presence of the controlled person.
