Is anyone authorised to check the legality of my stay in Poland?
The Border Guard, the Customs Service, the Police, as well as authorized employees of the Office for Foreigners, hold the right to control foreign visitors' residential rights in the case of a reasonable suspicion concerning the legality of their stay or a violation of public order. In this situation, these authorities may ask you to present:
- documents or permits confirming the legality of your stay on the territory of the Republic of Poland
- documents confirming the possession of financial resources to cover your living costs
- work permits
