WALKS

Let me remind you that our walks around Lublin are starting as of today, the first one being 'Lublin for beginners' today at 5 p.m. (we are meeting in front of the Castle). If you are interested in today's walk but have not signed up yet, simply come to the starting point at 5 p.m.
Next Monday we are visiting the Lublin death camp, Majdanek. If you have problems getting there, come to our office (Krakowskie Przedmieście 39) no later than 4 p.m.

WEDNESDAY WORKSHOPS

The Wednesday workshops are starting this Wednesday at 5 p.m. with a jewellery-making workshop led by the artist Katarzyna Hołda. You can still sign up at  info@hello.lublin.pl.

POLISH CLASSES

Our Polish classes start next Tuesday (18.10) at 6 p.m. If you'd like to enroll please let us know at info@hello.lublin.pl.


ATTENTION: We have received some emails asking if it would be possible to change the dates or hours of the trips and workshops. I'm afraid this is not possible, but if you are interested and can assemble a group of ten people, we can arrange an extra trip/workshop to suit your timetable.

THEATRE



16. THEATRE CONFRONTATIONS FESTIVAL
14th-22th October

The main idea of the festival has always been to confront distant theatre forms and traditions, to present theatre personalities and their achievements, and to find new way of understanding theatre.The main programme is always accompanied by other events such as exhibitions, movie screenings, concerts and discussion panels.

Audiocæneat! is a post-rock / shoegaze band from Dresden, Germany.

Since their formation in November 2009 they have played with great bands such as Caspian, Maybeshewill, Codes In The Clouds, The Ascent of Everest, pg.lost, iLiKETRAiNS, Long Distance Calling, LITE, Blueneck, Her Name Is Calla, Scraps of Tape, Our Ceasing Voice, Aidan Baker, Heirs and many more.

 

They released their debut album Red Sessions in November 2010. They have been referred to by reviewers as "Straight down to business post-rock, shoegaze with no nonesense . . . The entire album is SIMPLY EPIC."; " German post-rock at its finest"; "Enveloping washes of softly fuzzed out shoegaze guitars combine with post rock’s sweeping, cinematic arrangements and downplaying of vocals, although there’s some nice singing as well. Carefully made, creative and passionate music, that will take you places and tell you stories."

Crush is a young band from Lublin playing passionate and melodic post-punk/shoegaze with a preference for dirty but spacious, sweeping guitar sound and wildly energetic bass.
Highly recommended.


Servants of Silence from Puławy play instrumental post-rock with progressive and alternative elements.
