“Mikołajki Folkowe” International Folk Festival

This year's "Nicholas Folk" will be held from 9-12 December, as usual in the ACK UMCS "Zak Cottage" in Lublin. Although organizers did not officially admit to the anniversary, there is no denying that the festival this year is the 20th time. The program promises to be rich and interesting.
Most of the proposals is a folk music sound, but also no shortage of hard knocks. There are artists from seven European countries: the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine

"Mikołajki Folkowe"
It is the oldest and one of the biggest folk festivals in Poland. It was first organized in 1991. It aims to promote traditional culture in all its forms. The participating artists use modern means to transform old folk music into something fresh and likely to appeal to a wide audience. Such projects result in original compositions that help preserve traditional folk music. Thanks to an interesting and diverse repertoire and the atmosphere of a “folk holiday,” Mikołajki Folkowe Festival is regarded as an important cultural event and one of the most interesting and prestigious reviews of folk music in Poland
