What is all this about?

The web portal www.hello.lublin.pl has been launched. Someone's filled it with loads of info; there are photos, galleries, help, FAQs; someone recommends stuff and comments on it. There's a discussion forum. What's all this about?

• What is this website?

www.hello.lublin.pl is a portal that aims to help people who face obstacles in their daily life in Lublin. Some of those problems result from cultural differences; sometimes they are caused by red tape; others spring from lack of familiarity with the city.

• Who's behind it?

The project Welcome to Lublin is a brainchild of the Homo Faber Association (more specifically, a bunch of slightly nutty but genuinely lovable people).

• Who is it for?

www.hello.lublin.pl  is a portal for people who are new to Lublin and Poland. It's for those who are living, studying or working here, or have ended up here by pure chance

• What's the point?

Most of us at Homo Faber have consciously chosen Lublin as our place to live. This place means a lot to us, but we also realise that it's far from perfect. This is why we're launching this project: to help you get to know Lublin's strong points and make your life here a little bit better and more fun.
