International Festival of New Folk Music Hello Folks!

This is a project that was created in cooperation Center for Culture and Academic Center Radio. The festival can be called a living demonstration of the "Hellofolks!" program which is broadcast on Centre Radio since 2008. In conducting Marcin Puszka presents folk music performed in very different ways - combined with rock, electronics, metal, revealing long-forgotten culture or created by young people. It is also a struggle against stereotypes and attempt to show that folk does not have to be embarrassing. It is this idea led to the creation of the festival, to showcase music and artists opposing stereotypes.


July 16

    * LIA FAIL - Irish Folk / LUBLIN
      Band from Lublin, which presents the most beautiful traditional Irish music, often showing these beautiful songs in new, alternative scenes;
    * BLACK VELVET BAND - Celtic Pagan Folk / LUBLIN
      is a young and capable band from Lublin, which in his work goes back to the roots of old Europe. In their songs you can feel the spirit of Slavic, cold wind from Scandinavia and Celtic prayers to the gods;
    * MORHANA - Folk Metal / WARSAW
      combination of water and fire, beautiful melodies with great fumes - it's Morhany's motto. Warsaw band plays fast, uncompromising and melodious;
    * WILD devil - Folk Metal / WARSAW
      is a world of Slavs represented by metal music. Beautiful female vocals and hard work to the front metal machineria certainly shall possess more than one heart;
    * DRON - Ethno Folk / LUBLIN

    * VAN - Progressive Folk Rock / HUNGARY
      a lot of beautiful melodies and charming singing characteristic of bagpipes and flutes and crazy rhythm section, the ubiquitous guitar, and interesting lyrics. VAN - a recipe for success. The team is slowly conquers Europe playing concerts in almost every corner of the old continent;
    * JIM Rowlands - Celtic Folk Rock / WALES
      Welsh bard in his works shows how much he loves his country. Jim likes ballads, but also the lively songs deeply rooted in the traditions of his ancestors. It's a hundred percent showman who can lead the audience to a boil;
    * Gny - Nordic Folk / DENMARK
      Five Danes reveals to its audience the beauty of places, from which they originate. It's music climate, beautiful and charming. The use of old instruments and beautiful vocals of Laura make that next gny can not be indifferent;
